Reds Volleyball Club awarded major club honour for sixth consecutive year at 2024 Volley Awards

The 2024 Volley Awards has marked the sixth consecutive year that Reds Volleyball Club has won a major club award at the event, as the Club took home the 2024 Champion Club – Beach award for the fourth year in a row. 

A number of Reds Volleyball Club and Reds Junior Volleyball Club members were the recipients of various awards on the night. Gabrielle Ho took out the Young Leader of the Year Award, while Max Wason won the Discover Volleyball Ambassador honour for the second year in a row. William Dundas and Ava Tweedie were both recognised for their achievements on the umpire stand winning Referee of the Year and Junior Referee of the Year.

Reds Volleyball Club President Anthony Meo congratulated the award winners and thanked Volleyball WA for their support throughout 2024.

“We congratulate all of our members who were the recipient of Recognition Awards on the night for their incredible contributions to the Reds Volleyball Club and the wider volleyball community across Western Australia. A big congratulations goes to Lizzie Alchin on winning the Female Junior Beach Player of the Year as well as Griffin Bateman and Jordan Fancote for taking out the Alcohol. Think Again Male Beach Team of the Year. These results and the growth in our Reds Beach program is a testament to the outstanding contributions and wonderful efforts made by our coaches, players and volunteers on the sand,” Meo said. 

“We wish to congratulate all award recipients and clubs from across our state who were recognised for their achievements on the night and we thank Volleyball WA for their continued support of our Club and for hosting a wonderful event,” Meo added. 

Reds Junior Volleyball Club President Logan Vanderweide congratulated Division 2 player Casey Gonzales on winning the Most Valuable Player award for the division. 

“We congratulate Casey on this wonderful achievement that was a reflection of a number of outstanding performances for his team throughout the season,” Vanderweide said. 

The Reds Volleyball Club and Reds Junior Volleyball Club Committees congratulate all award nominees and recipients on the night and we express our heartfelt thanks to all members for their outstanding contributions over the 2024 season. Bring on 2025!
